Good Morning from Pengelly Photography,
Today kicks off with a wedding we photographed at Lavenham Swan Hotel, Lavenham, Suffolk. As this is the year of the blog, we will be catching up with our lovely couples from last year before we move into our 2013 weddings.
Emma and Peter are both teachers who decided to get married in the historic town of Lavenham, Suffolk, and who can blame them as this gorgeous town dates back to medieval times and everywhere just oozes picturesque history.
We suffered from so much rain last year but the weather behaved itself on the day and we were able to make the most of the beautiful surroundings of the hotel. Both Sabrina and I really enjoyed the day and the icing on the cake was a Frank Sinatra singer and this was the influence for one of the images being shown today.
So let’s have a look at the some images. The first image is of Peter and it has been chosen this for its symmetry and leading lines; Peter looks relaxed and he is smouldering a little (we do like a good smoulder), which is why a black and white tone has been chosen to highlight this. The second image was taken in the grounds of the Swan Hotel and after the nerves that are inevitable prior to the marriage we always enjoy capturing the utter relief after the ceremony! The third image is our inspiration from Frank, it is a twist on the usual group shots and we wanted to bring in a ‘rat pack’ feel to the image. The last image for today is simply a beautiful portrait of a lovely couple; it has been chosen to demonstrate Emma’s beautiful hands and although formal it still oozes romance.
Have a great weekend; wherever you are we hope the sun shines 🙂
Kevin and Sabrina 🙂
