Good Morning the Pengellys are back!
Welcome to the Essex wedding photography of Allena and Luke who were married at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, Essex. Kelvedon is a beautiful little village nestled just outside Witham and surrounded by the most glorious countryside.
This wedding was a very personal one for us; we have known Allena for many years as she used to dance with daughter Chloe.
The whole event took place at the Barn, which is a 15th Century building that has been restored beautifully. The whole day was so much fun, Sabrina and I were thrilled to have been chosen to tell their story.
The first image up today is fast becoming a Pengelly signature style. I am well known for my bridal style and I have been honing a particular style for my grooms and their entourage. This has been inspired from the ultra glamorous rat pack days with a smidgen of mad men for good measure! The soft black and white tones really help to set the scene and it was no mean feat to get that card flick to be effective as all weddings are very fast paced so not much time to ‘faff’ around! Our second image of today really shows off the beautiful grounds that surround the barn and just sneaking in the background to enhance this image further is this magnificent building. Window light when used correctly is so soft and gorgeous, just like our beautiful bride Allena. and the softness of the scene is further enhanced by Allena’s pose. I think my weather house inspired images is becoming a bit popular too! It is nice to use the venue to create those classic with a contemporary twist images that we are known for. Our aim is to tell your story without too many of the current trends that fade as fast as they arrived, leaving images that really are of their time rather than standing the test of time.
Sabrina and I hope you enjoyed today’s images and we hope you will check back in later in the week.
Kevin and Sabrina 🙂
