Hello Pengelly Fans,
Spring wedding photography, don’t you just love it and today’s wedding story takes us back to last May in Smeetham Barn with the wedding of Hayley and Mark.
What another wonderful couple to work with to capture their wedding story; Hayley and Mark chose a venue that is well known to Sabrina and me; did you know that it has been in the Hyde Parker family since 1906 and is still a working farm. They have worked so hard to create this beautiful barn venue snuggled in the North Essex countryside.
Hayley and Mark wanted to have their whole day in one venue, the barn is such an amazing space in which to have a wedding ceremony and the height and space inside really does echo the majesty of a church. We never tire of seeing a wedding day unfold, and to see a couple’s personality shine through no matter how many times we have photographed there before.
As you can see from the detail shots the flowers really had the influence of spring in them and I think the gentle pastel colours reflected Hayley’s gentle nature, so you see personality shining though everywhere. In contrast she had chosen a more vibrant colour for her bridesmaids’ dresses and I think this shows a little minxish side that blends perfectly with the gentle; I wonder if Hayley will tell me if I am right or not? I am always on the lookout to do something different and the quirky angle of Hayley’s shoes really worked on the tall chest of drawers to create an almost product feel to the photography. I think I might just approach Jimmy Choo; can you imagine Sabrina’s excitement if I did! A girl and her shoes seem to have a very special relationship!
I have picked a wide selection of images to reflect their whole day; the light was sublime and those dramatic clouds really added atmosphere to the images. Now I do like to lurk in a bush but this is only for purely artistic reasons and the proof is for all to see here thank goodness; some nice framing of a lovely couple having a gentle stroll on their wedding day.
So all in all just a really lovely day and I look at these images with hope for the sunny weather to come.
If you have been looking at our facebook page you will see that we have photographed another amazing model at Layer Marney Tower and I was just so happy to create the Lady of Shallot and even if I do say so myself I am over the moon. When I blog this shoot I will tell you the story of the Lady of Shallot; it really is quite sad but she was one determined lady 🙂
Check back soon bloggers,
Kevin and Sabrina 🙂
